Director of Nursing - Nursing POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing(DON) to provide strong clinical leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of our nursing department. The Director of Nursingwill be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatorycompliance, staff development, and effective clinical operations.The ideal candidate is a proven nursing leader who is committed toexcellence, patient safety, team development, and creating a cultureof accountability and compassionate care. QUALIFICATIONS:• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in theState of Texas with a master’s degree in nursing or healthcareadministration.• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with demonstratedleadership or supervisory experience.• Previous experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Directorof Nursing, Nurse Manager, or comparable nursing leadershiprole preferred.• Strong knowledge of nursing standards, clinical practices, qualityimprovement, and regulatory requirements.• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, andproblem-solving skills.• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcareenvironment.• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and retainnursing staff.• Current CPR/BLS certification as required.• Hospital, or other applicable healthcare experience preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Experience with state and federal healthcare surveys andregulatory compliance.• Experience with Quality Assurance and PerformanceImprovement (QAPI).• Experience managing nursing budgets and staffing.• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinicaldocumentation system.• Strong knowledge of Texas healthcare regulations and licensingrequirements. Contact:Starr County Memorial HospitalAttn: Diana M.
