Job Announcement For aDirectorRio Grande City Public Utility Department JOB TITLE & CLASSIFICATION: Director, Rio Grande City Public Utility Department. This is a permanent full-time position.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs advanced (senior-level) managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning of PUD department. Work involves familiarity with TCEQ rules and regulations, developing and executing approved budget, establishing priorities, standards and measurement tools for determining progress, optimization of staff and operations, meeting goals and objectives, multi-tasking, coordinating and evaluating program activities and supervising the work of others.
REQUIREMENTS: Experience in the management and direction of programs relevant to the job assignment. Experience in reviewing and evaluating operations. Bachelor in business or related field, five year experience in business management. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in a field relevant to the assignment is generally preferred. Experience with Public Utilities. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
