Urban Arts Academy is seeking an
Operations Director of Liberal Arts/Instructor (On-Site).
This position is responsible for all managerial aspects of the primary visual arts spaces. Tattoo instructor for on-site
classes in Brownsville, Texas.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education -
• Apprenticeship - Tattoo Artist
• High school diploma or GED.
• A well-presented portfolio.
Experience and Credentials –
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse environment or commitment to do so as a employee of
the Urban Arts Academy.
• The ideal tattoo instructor would have at least 8 years of tattoo experience tattooing in a tattoo studio.
• An amazing tattoo and art portfolio.
• Have successfully apprenticed multiple tattoo artists during their career.
• Proven experience working with national and international tattoo artists.
• Strong social media presence (IG, FB, YouTube, etc.)
• Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) certificate.
• CPR training.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and artistic.
• Valid driver’s license
Working Conditions:
On-site in Brownsville, Texas. The Urban Arts Director will typically work Monday – Friday, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm and Saturday 11:00am – 4:00pm, and weekend events (drive to seminars, visit vendors, etc.).
